  • Coach Geoff - Strength & Fitness

    Geoff is a NASM certified personal trainer with 9 years experience specializing in working with beginners looking to improve their level of fitness.

    Geoff offers 2 complimentary sessions for new members to help you get started.

  • Coach Etienne - Weightlifting

    Etienne has a long history of sport training, starting with soccer, football, lacrosse, and the weight room in high school. After joining his college's Olympic Weightlifting Team he's never looked back. Etienne joins us today with a degree in human physiology from University of Oregon and a USAW L1 certification.

    Etienne runs a 90 min 3x week group weightlifting class at 5:00 PM M/W/Th afternoons. Learn the building blocks and gain experience in the snatch and clean+jerk.

  • Coach Eric - Strongman

    Eric brings extensive strongman experience to the gym. He has competed in international strongman events like OSG and the Arnold, placed Top 5 Arnold Amateur World Championships 2022 and Top 20 Official Strongman Games 2023. Additionally, he is the Strongman Corporation State Chair.

    With 10+ years of coaching experience, Eric offers fully customized programs that are scientifically backed and evidence based. He coaches powerlifting and strongman as well as general fitness. Experienced athletes as well as people just getting started on their fitness journey are welcome to reach out.

  • Coach Duy - Strength & Fitness

    Duy has more than 5 years of experience working as a PT and is ISSA certified. He has a passion for bodybuilding and can help you prepare to step on stage.

    If you're looking for an experienced coach to provide you with technical and nutritional guidance, reach out! Duy will help you exercise confidently and build a healthier lifestyle.

  • Coach Hector - Powerlifting

    Hector is an experienced national level Powerlifter of 11 years, a national level USAPL Referee, has served as the President of the UT Longhorn Powerlifting Team, and is a certified strength coach!

    Hector can provide 1:1 sessions, online programming, or a mixture of the two to help you achieve your goals. Whether your interests are in competitive powerlifting, wanting to increase your day-to-day quality of life, or simply being the strongest person in your workplace for fun, he can work with you!

  • Coach Tina - Weightlifting

    Tina has 5 years of experience in both lifting & Coaching. She holds the 2021 Texas State W35 76kg record for Total and C&J. Tina is also a USAW L1 certified coach. Her favorite thing about Coaching is helping an athlete grow in the sport and cultivate a love for weightlifting.

    If you're looking to get started with weightlifting or just like to train in a group environment, Tina offers a morning class at 9:30 am on Mondays and Thursdays.

  • Coach Josh - Weightlifting

    Josh has been coaching for 10 years, and is a USAW level 1 and Crossfit level 2 certified coach. Josh is also currently pursuing his NSCA-CSCS in order to work at the collegiate level.

    Josh combines Olympic weightlifting with Crossfit methodologies to help you achieve your performance goals.

  • Coach Molly

    Molly is HBC’s official gym dog with a background in barking at delivery trucks, and ball chasing. Molly has zero tolerance on missing depth on squats, expect to be barked at if she catches you squatting high.

    Molly offers free sessions for all members, and appreciates donations of pets and scratchies. A full time gym dog, she is always ready to greet you at the door.

Class Offerings

  • Strongman Saturdays

    We don’t currently offer formal coaching in Strongman, but we do offer Strongman Saturdays! Led by coach Eric Carlson, you can come in on Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm and try out any of our strongman equipment or train events for an upcoming show!

    $5/drop ins, free for members.

  • Evening Weightlifting Class

    Join Etienne’s 90 minute weightlifting class at 5:00 pm on M/W/Th to learn the basics of Olympic lifting in a group environment.

    $20 first time drop in.

  • Morning Weightlifting Class

    Join Tina’s 90 minute weightlifting class at 9:30 am on M/Th to learn the basics of Olympic lifting in a group environment.
